It's hard to believe that nearly two months have passed since shining shapeshifter David Bowie left the material plane. I'm still processing the grief and the gratitude, and I'm sure many of you are in the same boat. This thoughtful Saint Bowie exhibition opening tomorrow at Stephen Romano Gallery is just what the cosmic doctor ordered. It's a collection of altars, reliquaries, and other devotional imagery of the Starman, done by contemporary artists to honor him and say goodbyes through the medium which he considered his "stable nourishment." Proceeds from the show will go to Shadhika, a non-profit that fights for gender equality for girls in India. Full details:

Stephen Romano Gallery is pleased to present a group exhibition of reliquaries to David Bowie.
Gallery proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to support shadhika.org, an American organization which works toward breaking the cycle of poverty, gender inequality and education, empowering and trying to give economic self-sufficiency to girls - help them avoid early marriage, being forced into prostitution, or being trafficked.
