Mark Warren Jacques "California Sunrise Come on and Wake Me Up" 2013
I seriously adore Mark Warren Jacques' work, as evidenced by my other postings about him here before. His pieces are so precise, yet so joyous, with bright, geometric shapes and undulating lines depicting moments of transcendence. He's got a new solo show up now at White Walls in SF called "Small in a Big Way," which more deeply explores our place in the cosmos - though this time viewed through a sun-drenched, ocean-soaked, decidedly Californian lens. I'd love to wake up to his work each morning. Maybe someday. In the meantime, the show is up through May 4th, so San Franciscans do be sure to give it a gander.
