Magda Boreysza
I realize this picture by Magda Boreysza is a bit melancholy, but it's a sunny Friday, so I think you can handle it. I'm a sucker for all things Artemisian (seeing Brave tonight - can't wait!), and likewise deer imagery has personal resonance for me. I've not seen a sweet beast quite like this before. I love her tiny, humanoid hands and feet, and the lush brambles and ferns cocooning her. Boreysza's other work is magnificent as well, have a look.

I always love seeing the artists who inspire you. Many of them are new discoveries for me. I don't know Magda, but I too love this melancholy deer. I'll go check out more of her artwork. Thanks so much!
