I was recently gifted with a copy of Will Cloughley's Red Rock Black Sun which has been lovingly published by the always delightful imprint Wonderella. I almost don't want to tell you anything about this book, because it is so unusual and so much of its spell is cast via the reader's own revelation. I will say that it is not a children's book, although it is thin and full of giant, bewilderingly beautiful pictures. It's not a poem, although the writing is very lyrical and meditative. It's not quite a graphic novel, though the words and imagery therin do tell a large story. It is deceptively simple, and yet full of ancient wisdom and complex, esoteric ideas. You should really just see for yourself.
(And thank you, Clint Marsh and Karima Cammell!)
Any chance you could give us a brief synopsis, or point to one? Used the book's $52 plus shipping, and from Wonderella it's still $32 shipped to Canada.
