Aaron S. Hitchcock "The Morning Rush"
Aaron Hitchcock's paintings straddle the line between fantasia and viscera. Upon first glimpse, the animals and pastel palette give a sensation of innocence. A beat later, however, one perceives far more ferocious goings-on. Reminds me a bit of Darger in that way, and I mean that as a deep compliment.

Wow--that is extremely beautiful. I just looked at Hitchcock's site and pretty much every piece is equally gorgeous. I especially like "Portrait of Corporal Wallflower."
