If you went looking for me when I was a kid, there's a good chance you'd find me in the library, somewhere between Dewey Decimal sections 001.9 and 135. This piece by Sam Thomas delights me for that reason, and it's such a mash-up between so much stuff I've loved since that time: Easter Island, Nessie, ancient Egypt, UFOs, secret societies...the list goes on. Best of all, it's all rendered impeccably in what looks to me like colored pencil. The rest of his work is just as impressive, so do have a look.
