I had the pleasure of meeting Megan Cump this past weekend, and she mentioned that she was "an artist." Little did I know she meant "a brilliant and witchly photographer" (my words, not hers). Her site features two series, and I love them both. "Black moon" is full of nocturnal images with flame-colored accents and aberrations, replete with glowing-eyed creatures and icy lagoons. "Feral" is a series of (presumably) self-portraits in breathtaking landscapes. The composition of all of her work is truly divine: she leaves lots of space for breath-catching and creates thoughtful vignettes that celebrate nature's mystery and majesty.
