Leigh J. McCloskey "Wheel of Fortune"
While at the Philosophical Research Society two weeks ago, their super heroine librarian, Edie Shapiro, introduced me to the art of Leigh J. McCloskey. He's a visionary painter in the truest sense, and a lot of his work is extraordinarily colorful and crystalline. But his black and white tarot drawings are what truly captured my heart. Take this image, alone. It incorporates the Eye of Providence, the alchemical egg, the yin-yang, the astrological wheel, caduceian ouroboros elements, and the axis mundi all into one, seamless image about balance, time, and fate.
