Ellen Rogers for Sea Witch + Ovate 2012
I've posted about JL Schnabel and her Blood Milk jewelry line many times before. And I'm going to have to keep doing so if she insists on continuing to get involved with such terrific projects. Her most recent effort is a capsule collection called "Sea Witch" that consists of siamese sea horses, spying glasses, and metallic coral. The line is inspired by "The Tempest," Sylvia Plath, and the original (and far more tragic) Little Mermaid story.
It was developed with Ovate's latest collection, called "Mare Frigoris," which is full of gauzy pieces that cling and flow like black seaweed. Best of all, the look book was shot by the inimitable Ellen Rogers, whom I've waxed ecstatic about here. On the whole, this collaboration is a perfect storm of talent and briney beauty.
The jewelry is just gorgeous! Yes, keep posting about them! I love the look book too, so mysterious, sexy and lovely!
