Corey Corcoran "Echo" 2012
Corey Corcoran describes his work as depicting "visual ecosystems." When I look at his paintings, I'm reminded of the micro/macrocosmic diagrams of old alchemical engravings. I love how he nests the spheres of self and nature inside one another, making a new sort of mystic map. Beautiful.
