Dan May  "Covet"  2009


Dan May's velvety monsters and fey maidens are beyond endearing, and yet I would never call them cute.  It would be easy to think of his work as childlike, and yet the skill and complexity of messages are quite sophisticated.  Looks like his current show up at CoproGallery closes tomorrow.  So sorry for being late on this one.
