Mike Cockrill "Heartland" 2005
Mike Cockrill's work rings my bell on several levels. Stylistically, I love his loose brushwork: it's a bit Munch, a bit Van Gogh, a bit 60s fashion illustration. Content-wise, I am crazy for anything that depicts adolescence as a mysterious, metamorphic time, and Cockrill does it marvelously.
