I have no idea what exactly this painting by John Brophy means, but I know I am just wild about it.  His technique is on par with Renaissance masters, as is evidenced by the beautiful sketchwork featured on his site.  I look forward to seeing more of his work in the future, though I imagine it must take ages for him to do each one, what with their impressive detail.
