Laurie Hassold "Stitch Ears" 2007
Laurie Hassold's wall sculptures are studies in imaginary organic forms. These science fictions are visceral yet coolly symmetrical, and remind me of a body turned inside out, or some sort of mechanical, metallic plantlife. Hassold could easily be HR Giger's artistic sister.
