Aganetha Dyck

Queen

Aganetha Dyck  "The Queen"  2007

This is one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time.  Aganetha Dyck collaborates with bees to create honeycomb embellished homages to creativity.  Here, the lines are blurred between nature and artist, and the results are simply magnificent.

(Thank you, Charles!)

This recent show of hers is great. The figures and objects that are built on by bees suggest both waxy crystal fossilization and increased motion at the same time.

I should say current not recent!

What a wonderful thing to do? Gives a whole new meaning to 'Queen bee' but I bet that's what she was after... Love your blog! Lots of great surreal links!!!

Thanks to you both for stopping by!
