Wangechi Mutu has a stunning new show up at Sikkema Jenkins & Co here in the city, up through June 17th. Unfortunately, screen shots do not do her work justice, as the pieces are gigantic, and the work is a mixed-media extravaganza of texture and form.

I have been deeply moved tonight! I encountered your article in Vogue..and feel a strange connection..as i use my magazines as a paint pallete..creating ..touched by similar "issues" as greed.sex..one of my works is SEVeN Deadly Sins.a disposable society,war and the all paralyzing issue of fear..we are living in a fearful society...
